The box of Joy, is a helmet of leisure and learning it can be controlled by the user or by people that are near by. The controls are located at the back so usually the person wearing it is at the mercy of people surrounding. It is programed with information from "How to love your cat", to "How to raise a boy into a man". The information can be updated depending on the persons interests, providing that sufficient notice is given. This art piece works on an interactive level so please ask questions and feel free to book a time to borrow it.

What a fascinating idea. Would it be possible to get a list of the audio possibilities? I was wondering if you have anything on getting rich quick...

What a fascinating piece of artwork! That really is thinking outside of the square, or box as it may be. Or is it thinking inside the box?...

Well done! I would strongly consider using this box of joy as a form of therapy. By wearing it, it appears to affect the body in space and time and it becomes a form of intervention for the senses and the mind. I think more people should view this box and possibly attempt to wear it briefly. If it has the ability to teach or instruct then it could possibly act as a catalyst for change in the various ways humans view the space around them.

Crazy, wonderful, brave, unsinkable. -You are a box of joy! Or is it just a chip or two on the shoulder? Is this the official voice of Victoria? Is this the communication from the State that bodes the future? Or is Victoria the Fat Controller from Flinders St? Questions, questions. You've set me a conundrum!

The Box of Joy is an interactive learning Helmet, that was constructed with the intent of being art. It incorporates a built in sound system that is controlled by an ipod at the back of the helmet. A range of different instructional recording can be chosen and Victoria the Helmets voice will guide you through. Her soothing voice fills the Helmet and takes you on a learning journey of a life time.
